This was my first experience of a one week yoga retreat, and I found it a deeply moving experience on many levels. The group, the venue, the staff and the food were all first rate, and Julie held the group together beautifully through a carefully structured series of 2 hour yoga sessions, which gradually built flexibility, strength and a compassionate, accepting awareness of self in everyone irrespective of ability, and any individual health issues.. It was a delightful experience, and I am already committed to returning for more next year! Thank you, Julie..

Just got back from Julie's 2018 Spanish retreat, and I must say it was the best retreat I've done - and I've been doing them now for nearly 20 years! The venue was beautiful, the food great (and plentiful!), the staff friendly and helpful, and the rooms comfy. The people in the group were without exception just lovely. And Julie is so good at dealing with a whole group of people, many with assorted health issues, so that everyone gets the maximum out of every session. I've already put my hand up to go back next year!

Just back from Wales, and another wonderful yoga break. Julie's teaching covers so much more than just the asanas. This time the theme was the energy body, so she gave us a huge amount of information about the chakras, and increasing and releasing energy in order to rebalance the body, and all the postures, breathing and meditation was structured towards this. So much more than just an exercise class!

This was my introduction to Julie and my return to yoga. By the end of the retreat I was grounded, re-aligned, relaxed and inspired. I was particularly impressed with the time and care that Julie took to ensure that each class and exercise/position catered for the various abilities or ailments in the group.

I'm always surprised by how much variety and interest Julie brings to the practice. She really is inspiring. This was my first retreat with her. The group seemed to work particularly well this time, having the extra day at the bank holiday weekend made everything seem somehow more relaxed, and Julie's teaching, coming from the heart as it always does, gives space for everyone to learn and grow. I recently went on my first ever Yoga retreat in Dorset with Julie.
It was a fantastic experience: Julie is the best teacher and able to adjust the yoga to my ability with wonderful relaxation and meditation exercises. The chef was fantastic and made lovely vegetarian food for our stay and the accommodation benefited from a swimming pool, set in wonderful countryside as well as easy teach of Lyme Regis. I will definitely be going on a retreat with Julie again

I have just returned from my 4th retreat with Julie.....a truly magical and inspiring week at Huzur Vadisi in Turkey. What a joy, I loved every minute - the yoga, the food, the company, the location...everything was just perfect. Julie is an exceptional teacher and her knowledge of all aspects of yoga asana and philosophy is incredible. I have just had one of the best Yoga retreat holiday at the famous Huzur Vadisi. The food was delicious the stuff were very attentive. But the best thing was the Yoga practice itself. Julie you have fine it again! You very well planned were amazing. You had time to help our individual needs you made the classes to be fun but hard work at the same time. We never felt under pressure as you eased us to the practice gently. I loved it and I can't wait for the next Yoga retreat to attend with you. Thank you.

I've just returned from a wonderful retreat with Julie in Turkey at Huzur Vadisi. The food, yoga and company were great. Julie's aura gathers a lot of nice people. I loved staying in a yurt and loved the outdoor-ish bathrooms. The swimming-pool was the perfect size size, the forest just next door for beautiful walks and the owner was great with providing what I needed when I was stung by a wasp. Very efficient. The type of yoga we do on these retreats is gentle and gradual. You will certainly feel all toned up like I do after the week. I have wonderful memories. Merci!!

Another yoga week with Julie (my 3rd, as I enjoy them so much!), this time in Spain. Venue was nice, though not as up-market as previously. Owners pleasant, and I did a mosaic workshop with Dan which I greatly enjoyed. But the real bonus was the yoga and the group taking part. Since we were only ten, there was plenty of time to get to know the others better, and the small group added to the wonderful yoga experience. As always, Julie's teaching was interesting, varied and thought-provoking, and I learned a great deal. Once again, highly recommended!

I couldn't think of a nicer way to spend a Saturday than at the Jasmine Trust yoga centre with Julie and such a nice group of people. Julie's classes are so friendly and inclusive but 'stretching' enough for everyone. The venue is lovely with a light filled practice room where you can lie back and admire the sky. I spent this Saturday with Julie and fellow-yogis at at the Yogi’s Picnic at the beautiful Jasmine Trust yoga centre. The venue was perfect, nestled in the woods of north Nottinghamshire, the room seemed to blend into the gardens and woodland around us. The practice took us on a journey through the elements of Water, Fire, Air and Earth and I discovered surprises and revelations in each of these. The structure and flow of the workshop was just perfect and each section was packed with so much wisdom, research and ideas, not to mention a huge injection of humour along the way; Julie’s teaching is so inspiring and I feel ready to change world. This was my first yoga workshop with Julie and am already scouring the website for details of the next workshop. Should a Yogi admit such addictive tendencies? Thank you Julie and my fellow-yogis for such a rich experience.

I have just got back from a week's retreat at the Pomegranate with Julie. This was my second overseas retreat with Julie who is also my regular yoga teacher back in Nottingham so I am very lucky. I have been practising yoga for about 20 years so am quite experienced at most asanas and yet Julie always manages to find a fresh approach to her teaching so I never feel bored. She manages to make sure that those who are less experienced achieve postures safely while those with more experience achieve their full potential. This is all done with a great deal of laughter. Yoga with Julie is never stuffy, routine or dull! I would wholeheartedly recommend any of her retreats to anyone. Thanks once again Julie.

I too have just come back from the week-long yoga retreat that Julie ran at the Pomegranate
Hotel in Turkey. I have been doing yoga retreats in various places with various teachers for over 10 years now, and this one was definitely my favourite. The location was nice, the group lovely and Julie is a wonderful teacher. Having a theme to the classes throughout the week means that she leads you forwards on your yoga journey - it's much more than just the asanas. But Julie is also very good at pitching the level of the yoga to the abilities of the group - our group ranged from someone totally new to yoga to people who have been doing it regularly for years, and all said that they had got a huge amount from the week. And she's such an approachable, funny, gentle person. I'd recommend her to anyone without hesitation, and will certainly be going back myself to another of her retreats.

I have just come back from a one-week Yoga retreat with Julie in Turkey near Ola Denis - in a place called Pomegranate. The place was very nice - lovely views facing the sea up in the mountains. Most of all I have enjoyed the Yoga practice. Each lesson was planned to fit everybody's needs according to individual levels. We all worked hard but it was fun at the same time. Julie is an amazing teacher. She is one of those unique teachers who is able to get the most out of you subtly. She manages the class in an orderly manner but in a fun and informal way. I absolutely adore her spirit and vast in-depth knowledge. The lessons are well planned and they lead you to think about your body and how the physical exercise helps it. It makes perfect sense. This was my third Yoga retreat with Julie and they have all been brilliant.

Just back from a truly magical yoga retreat with Julie at Suleyman's Garden in Turkey. My first week long retreat - and I picked well! Julie is a fantastic teacher - clearly a huge amount of preparation and thought went into the week, the yoga flowed from session to session so you felt real progress. I've been attending Julie's yoga classes for the last couple of years, and really enjoy her style. She is so knowledgeable and precise in her instructions, really describing the feel of each pose as you move through it. I also went to Potash Barns and had SUCH a wonderful time. A retreat with Julie is good for the body, mind and soul. I came away feeling so refreshed and at peace, she is such a good teacher and I have learnt so much even in just a few days. I also did a headstand for the first time (against the wall of course!) but this is something I've been to scared to in my normal weekly yoga class- another example of the Julie magic!

Last weekend I went on Julie's weekend retreat at Potash Barns. It was a really enjoyable weekend. The surroundings, both inside and out, were very attractive and comfortable. It is in a rural setting, so peaceful and pretty. We had two yoga sessions each day, and as usual, Julie had planned carefully as well as adapting the work to the group. This made each session very enjoyable, while also getting the best from our bodies, and keeping safe. I can't wait for the next retreat! Thanks Julie.

Julie's retreat in Spain in September 2013 was extremely enjoyable. The 2 sessions a day are never the same and prepared according to the season we are about to enter with tips about how to prepare for the change and things that are useful to do in our daily lives. My yoga and general fitness is always a lot better when I finish the week, I've gained balance, strength and usually lose a bit of weight. I've visited the place many times and I always love the food, which is very healthy and beautiful to look at. What makes the yoga sessions special is that Julie has a great sense of humour, expertise, adaptation and really cares about her students, and many of us return year after year.

Julie's programme for the week Summer Fire Autumn Winds gave great yoga practice and spiritual food for thought to bring back home. I too have just come back from Julie's yoga week at Punto de Luz in Spain. It was a wonderful week. The venue is lovely - a wonderful yoga platform up the mountain, nice rooms and good food. Our group this time was also lovely. And Julie is a wonderful teacher - hugely knowledgeable, fun and able to get the best out of everyone. It really has been a special week, and I too hope to do another one of her holidays.

I was pretty confident that Suleyman's Garden would be really beautiful – it was. The revelation of the week was Julie, who I'd never met before. What a lovely teacher. Julie is that rare thing: a kind, attentive, knowledgable, unassuming, quietly passionate yoga teacher with a sense of humour! The week was so carefully thought out, so varied, nurturing and enjoyable, that for the first time ever on a yoga retreat I never considered missing a class. Here's to the next one.

A truly wonderful weekend spent at Potash Barns with Julie and a great group of like minded people! The location is beautiful, the host is very helpful and produces absolutely gorgeous food! I've just returned from a week in Spain with Julie at Centro Punto de Luz and loved it! The yoga sessions were very well planned and interestering, as I was used to another teacher and others methods. I did things I've never done before. Julie is very easy-going and funny, which makes the atmostphere so pleasant and relaxed. The food in the centre is amazing, it was my 3rd time there and one of the reasons I return. The owners are very welcoming and have generous heart, like Julie.

Dear Julie, I have spent the last two days spring cleaning. I came home feeling really relaxed yet at the same time full of energy, so have accomplished tasks that have been crying out to me for months, yet without getting stressed about them. All this I put down to our magical week in Spain!

I've just returned from my second retreat with Julie at Centro Punto de Luz. The centre is in an amazing location. When hot it's great to sit by the pool. When cooler, there are walks with stunning views. The food is creative and nutritious, and the accommodation is comfortable. But best of all, Julie ensures that the yoga sessions are planned (and re-planned as necessary) to suit the group. There is a theme to the week, and to each session, and each session builds on the previous ones. Everything is done with care, attention and a sense of fun and enjoyment. I've already booked my next retreat. Well done Julie, and thank you!!

Having spent a wonderful weekend of yoga at Tilton House in the beautiful Sussex countryside I am still reaping the benefits of wholesome, nutritious meals, lovely walks on the downs, good company and yoga in the yiurt. The woodburning stove kept the wind and rain at bay on Friday evening and I wondered how I would manage doing two sessions of yoga a day for the next two days. However, the whole experience was so well paced and Julie was so responsive to the energy and needs of the group, that the sessions just built up effortlessly. Julie is an extraordinarily gifted teacher, whose presence, natural warmth and humour serve to communicate her deep knowledge of yoga. Her awareness of physiology enables her to create flow and movement into more challenging postures safely. However, this is not yoga as exercise - Julie brings wisdom and spiritual awareness to the work so that the whole is far gretaer than the sum of its parts. A very special weekend. Thank you, julie. Affordable luxury - the luxury of time that is - to be guided through an interesting and informative programme of yoga twice a day (optional!) for a whole week. My idea of heaven. Julie's style of teaching is warm and relaxing and I am sure she adapted her well planned schedule to suit individuals on the retreat as she got to know their needs. Julie's retreats are Inspirational, fun, relaxing, energising, healthy and.... highly recommended.

I enjoyed the candle lit atmosphere & story telling, as we sat on our mats in a circle sipping chai tea at the Warrior workshop last week. Julie has such a wonderful way of teaching, she effortlessly passes on information essential for yogi growth, with entertaining humour. A winning combination.

The last three workshops have been absolutely amazing! Every workshop is so different and we both enjoy the story telling and words of wisdom. We both feel relaxed, re-energized and it beats going to the gym- the best workout by far! The DVD has been most beneficial too.

Thank you so much for an amazing week of yoga in France (Yoga Joy). As a location Les Passeroses is beautifully tranquil, perfect for getting away from everything, and the food was delicious. Stayed up at The Stables where Sue and Brian made us feel incredibly welcome. Great rooms and the best pool with a view I have ever known! Julie is an incredibly insightful teacher with a great wonderful sense of humour and rapport with her yogis. I learnt so much and came away not only feeling more flexible but with a spring in my step and renewed energy.

I have just returned from my very first yoga holiday in France. I had the most wonderful time and the yoga and hospitality was fantastic. Thanks Julie for making it so enjoyable and worthwhile. I hope to see you on the next one.

I have just returned from my first Yoga retreat in France with Julie. I am feeling refreshed, energised, supple and happy! Julie put an incredible amount of effort and preparation into each class, ensuring that her class matched our abilities. Julie's passion for yoga is infectious and I consider her to be a seriously good find. Looking forward to the next one.

The yoga retreats at Les Passeroses are invigorating, uplifting, truly inspirational. Julie is a very dedicated teacher, always aware of her students abilities and motivating them to explore the unknown. She's creative and thoughtful, which makes the whole experience great fun. The week-long workshop in France at les passeroses was exactly what I was hoping for. Julie is a patient, encouraging and fun teacher. She creates a space for all her students to work at their own pace and to dare to push themselves a little bit more! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend a retreat with Julie and am looking forward to taking part in a weekend next year in the UK. Thanks Julie! x Lisa

A long term deep spinal injury brought me to yoga 18 months ago, Julie's teaching kept me coming back. Julie intuits the right intensity and pace at which to work from those present; she is the most inclusive, conscientious yet lightweight pro I've ever come across. After a good many slow Yin-style deep impact sessions, my physique continues to restore - at 46 I recognise previously unknown strength and supplness, and my zest for life continues to zoom.
Highly recommended for all ages, genders, persuasions!

We really enjoyed the Internal Gaze workshop, it really makes you concentrate working with the eyes closed, Julie's dedication and enthusiasm is completely infectious and we always really enjoy every session. The retreat in France last year was sensational great yoga, location, food and we met some lovely people. A wonderful experience.

The Internal Gaze workshop was fantastic! By far the most beneficial yoga I've done to date. I was really able to feel how the poses worked from the inside. And the fact that everyone stood round grinning happily at each other, clutching cups of your yummy chai tea afterwards said it all!

The weekend retreat at Potash Barns was wonderful. Beautiful countryside, a very peaceful place. I enjoyed all of the yoga (especially the pre breakfast practise) and all of the fabulous food too! I came home feeling very relaxed and energised.

Julie has a unique way of teaching and whether you are a beginner or a seasoned yogi, she helps you learn so much more about what your body can do. Her easy to understand instructions and encouragement ease you through the class, almost (quite literally) with your eyes shut! I always feel calm and yet vitalised after class. Julie is like 'my spoon full of sugar!' 🙂
