As a regular at Julie’s yoga classes, workshops and retreats I knew about her work as a yoga therapist.
So when a new health issue arose for me which I thought could affect my practice and many other aspects of my life I turned to Julie’s one-to-one yoga therapy. I had 2 sessions and homework, which has been so helpful in many, many different ways.
Julie had put together treatment sessions which were absolutely tailored to my specific needs, and with her kindness, clarity and very practical approach she helped me to understand what was happening in my body and how I could manage this, not just in my yoga but in many everyday activities.
I can now continue with my yoga in a more considered and mindful way, which has helped me to develop a renewed confidence and trust in my body, for which I am extremely grateful.

Julie runs yoga sessions for male and female clients at the Aurora Macmillan Wellbeing Centre. The courses are aimed at cancer sufferers and their carers. She has a charming way of working with people, and adjusts her sessions to suit the needs and ability of her clients. At each session Julie checks in with the current condition of her clients. She adjusts her programme to accommodate each person’s needs, and regularly checks that everyone is comfortable. She is patient and understands the needs of new clients, without ignoring those who are more familiar with yoga.

Iceland was such a special retreat, one we’ll always remember & be grateful to Julie for. The opportunity to practice yoga in such a stunning place was a true meditation in itself. Great organisation & yoga & a fantastic group of like-minded people whom we will miss! Thank you so much!

Thank you for an excellent retreat. It was inspirational to be encouraged to explore “Movement, Mudra & Manifestation”. I feel blessed to enjoy another retreat with Julie after an 8-year gap! It was also a reminder to me of how lucky I am to have Julie as my first yoga teacher to set me on my yogic journey 14 years ago. I always enjoy Julie’s warmth, compassion and humour. It’s taken me a while to get round to writing this and it’s long overdue! I attended Julie’s Movement, Mudra & Manifestation Dorset yoga retreat in July. A friend of mine had recommended attending Julie’s retreats. Am relatively new to yoga so open to all teaching styles and to learning lots. Boy, I wasn’t disappointed. Julie has a lovely way of teaching students of all years’ yogic practice. I learnt so much over the 4 days. Thank you Julie for your great advice. Hoping to see you again in 2020

I recently returned from a one week yoga retreat in Spain which was run by Julie. I attended my first retreat with Julie last year and found it to be such a warm and positive experience that I booked almost immediately for this one. Julie is a wise and intuitive instructor and I thoroughly enjoy the journey I take on her retreats. Julie’s knowledge, skill and commitment are very evident and I leave feeling refreshed, relaxed and content. The venue is beautiful and this certainly adds to the experience but I Think that even if Julie ran a retreat in a shed it would still be amazing.

This was my first experience of a one week yoga retreat, and I found it a deeply moving experience on many levels. The group, the venue, the staff and the food were all first rate, and Julie held the group together beautifully through a carefully structured series of 2 hour yoga sessions, which gradually built flexibility, strength and a compassionate, accepting awareness of self in everyone irrespective of ability, and any individual health issues.. It was a delightful experience, and I am already committed to returning for more next year! Thank you, Julie..
